Is Blood Omen 2 worth investigating as a Blood Omen 1 fan? I liked but was never able to get into the Soul Reaver games as much as Blood Omen, and it was entirely because of Kain talking about shit. Dont' get me wrong Raziel is great too but you just can't beat Kain going on about the latest artifact or spell you just found.

You could kill every one of them with a single cast of that spell. When you get mind control, sacrifice a controlled human instead of Kain's blood and you'll get 99 of a spell. Definitely don't hoard spells.

Shit I never thought of that, I'm replaying it now as an adult and I didn't think of doing that. You have so many fucking spells though, I'm spamming that shit to clear entire areas because I can't be bothered juking past them as a wolf and I still can't run out of spells, it's crazy how overpowered you are in this game.

Some guide I saw claimed Repel was the most OP spell. Balls. I couldn't get it to work. Just fling 3 basic bolt spells at them, kills them quick and easy.

Does anyone know how to set a spell in the central of your 5 slot quick-spell menu? Can't figure that shit out.

You can't set a spell there, it's just the most recent pickup.

If you use those shurikens instead of lightning bolts it takes 2 and you don't have to aim at all.

It's completely different. I liked it but that's because I was a kid enamored with LoK. Realistically it's mediocre and was responsible for killing the series.

It's third person and has gameplay based on dodging and parrying with the occasional use of decent puzzles. Story wise it's a mess.

If ever there was a game that needs a true remake from the ground up it's Blood Omen. Fuck. Imagine a Skyrim sized Nosgoth but with spells that are actually useful and fun to use.

Nothing in any game I've ever played has felt as awesome or powerful to obtain as Blood Omen's Soul Reaver.
