I'm extremely jealous of them especially if they're Japanese. Growing up during the rise of console gaming. Spending your teenage years with the rise of PC gaming. Spending your early adulthood during peek Arcade era and internet era. I'm fucking jealous. Mad jealous. I hate growing up as 97' kid. 7th gen was mediocre. Cartoons, media, and culture were turning into shit. I couldn't relate to a single person in my age group and I still struggle to do so even today.

1988 here and I feel this way about people 5-10 years older than me. 80's childhood and 90s teen years seemed amazing, and they had a full high school experience untainted by social media. My school years were great but tainted a bit by myspace/facebook, then by young adulthood the apps were rolling in and shit got lame fast. I think the most kino experience was having facebook come around while you were in college were it was exclusive and useful but didn't dominate social existence yet
