The current meta is to have a hodgepodge of costumes and weapon skins to choose from. This is antithetical to a WW2 game, which requires some historical theming to stick to, which most devs are incapable of or simply don't care enough to abide by. So they don't bother. It's why in the newest Battlefield the antagonist is an ebil PMC instead of an actual nation state.
