I farmed and grinded using a GameFAQs guide for the Technical USB exploit. I just got to the point where I could do whatever I wanted and as a consequence I was completely divorced from the narrative. I didn't know who any of the characters were. I had no connection to them. The protagonist this ugly beady-eyed looking loser certainly didn't help appeal me to the game either. Time Stranger having dual protagonists really helps though in the future I'd appreciate being able to customize hair and skin color. The customization only offering different colors of shirts is painful. They can afford to really lean into cosplay and individuality more.

I've seen some people say that the blue stats also go above the stat cap but I don't see anything noticeable comparing 2 of my maxed stat mons. I used a 2k blue stat Omegamon vs a 200 blue stat Omegamon, both were maxed 9999 in all stats. They hit the same damage range on low def (1-3k) and high def (5k) enemies, they trade getting the first turn equally, they both heal for 13k. I don't see it boss

As a Digimon fan, I honestly didn't like CS all that much. You could replace the Digimon with talking cubes and not much would change. CS isn't the only Digimon work that barely takes place in the Digital World (you don't go there until the very end of the game and you don't see much of it at all), but at least in the other cases, the Digimon were front and center. The gameplay is merely a competent JRPG. Nothing memorable.

I just use High Field turn 1, and then Spell Boost/Acceleration Boost on the attacker with the best advantage against it, and then they chunk it for at least half its health in one move. Debuffs generally do stack in this game. That skill is 20% with 100 bond on all battle members but stacks up to 60% if all 3 have it. Probably not worth doing that when you can just run Stout Strength for 50% extra Attack at max HP or Combo Magic for double spells but still.

I prefer the buff cross art to the debuff one because it's a 50% buff for 3 turns + 1 turn of invincibility vs a 25% debuff for 4.

Though you can also just have Hiroko take Inori's spot entirely, she's now Yuu's big sister and is investigating what killed Inori and her family.
Don't even have to change anything for Hiroko's parents, after all, Inori's dad never mattered in hindsight. He also just kinda gets written out of the story in the latter half.

Depends on your definition of good. Next order and survive are good, but are not for everyone and do have some glaring flaws. Story ds and story dawn/dusk are good if you are able to stomach a grindfest and annoying random encounter rate.

Of the ps1 games i would say that the digimon card battle is the one that's objectively best, but world and world 2003 are great if played with a strategy guide. World 2 is painfully slow if played on emulator, and unbearable in the original console, but has some pretty interesting concepts. World 4 is total garbage. World data squad is average, at best. Re:digitize and digimon adventure for the psp are pretty good games, although re:digitize decode is better.
