In Triangle Strategy Anna can go invisible.
I would have her stand in front of a flight of stairs so that the enemy units can't climb up and rape my archers.
The AI didn't know how to respond to an invisible unit blocking the stairs so they just went around the longway.

In a way, Anna was my door ant.

how does evolution select for this if the ant form is not directly involved in sex?
Some ants develop a behavior to stand near entrances and body block it, sure.
These ants would be preasured to get better at this body blocking and having a bigger head helps, makes sense.
but queen ants the males are completely seperated from this process.

when dealing with evolution you have to think about genetic flow as a larger-scale process than individuals passing down genes. Easiest example: Lots of animals will sacrifice spreading their OWN genes in favor of ensuring their cousins/nieces/equivalent are preserved. Because they share MOST of the genes. If you extrapolate this, that same group that does better by having certain ants blocking holes will continue to produce ants that are better at blocking holes even if the ants that block holes themselves don't breed, because the genes for it are still being passed on because of how useful they are.
>Queen ant A makes ants that block holes better
>Queen and B makes ants that block holes worse
>So even though the blocker ants themselves don't breed, the genes for blocking holes, in Queen ant A, still get preserved and passed along
Make sense?

I guess there is the fact that ants as animals don't "think" but only react to external stimuli in predertimined ways, so either mutations are initially benign and decwlop overtime or they actively reduce fitness and result in a doomed lineage.
How do ants even mate? I know they have their nuptual flights but is that from all the colonies in the region pooling together or incestual behavior within a single colony?

Yeah, all ant hives in a region are synchronizing when the young queens and drones take flight, to ensure that there's a high probability of their offspring mating with those from other hives. It's based on weather patterns iirc. That's also why you sometimes just have a shitton of winged ants around your house for a few days in summer.
>>722977938

ants need typical door sizes. some ants were tasked with blocking those doors. over time the better their heads fit the hole the longer they lived or their colonies lived, so their head shape converged to this size and to being flat. there were other colonies where the heads didn't get flat or they got too big or not big enough and those colonies either didn't make it or they found a way to survive without door stoppers.

Not really evolution this is creative breeding.
Its very interesting if you do a little general knowledge research into how and variants are made.
The tl:dr of it is that there are workers, which are all women, and drones which are all men and the workers choose what ants the colony needs and feeds the larvae appropriately to get them to mutate into what they need, including a queen, so if a colonies queen is killed the workers can make another.
Its all about how much royal jelly they are fed and for how long they are fed it.
Again, very interesting to learn about.

With a great enough span of time and enough random events, things happen. Random chemical interactions create stable acid chains, random assemblages of acids encode usable information to create a shell to protect itself, a cell enters symbiosis with mitochondria and can convert material to chemical energy, cells clumping together to form colonies, and so on.

You're looking at this from the worm's eye view. How does all that make us? It's really just an extraordinarily unlikely series of events, it could have happened anywhere, we just won(?) the most unforgiving RNG in the cosmos.

It's not that clear-cut. In the case of mound-building termites and termite-raiding ants, it's more like an orc tribe raiding a human kingdom. The raiding ants have a simple and relatively small nest that is completely dependent on raiding termite mounds, with no real distinction between worker and soldier ants. Meanwhile the termites have a large vertical mound with fungus farms, ventilation shafts, and a clear caste structure. A couple of hundreds of ants will try to break into the mound and carry off as many termites as possible. Meanwhile, the armored termite warriors will try to defend the breach, with some workers retreating to safety deeper into the hive, while other workers try to build a barricade to seal the breach.

There's also a way to complete the mission faster. Some Nidus Worms at a specific location spawn Zerglings that, when killed, count toward the kill count. You can just farm them to complete the objective earlier than usual.

There's a way to stay alive forever by not killing the Overseers, you can let them flood the map until they hit the game engine's unit cap, which means nothing else can be spawned.

I dont have the pic, but 20% of ants are born slackers. They do not work. They do not dig. They flee at the first sign of danger. They eat from foodstocks they do nothing to replenish. If you remove a significant portion of the 80% that works, the slackers still slack, the remaining workers just start working twice as hard.
Ants are no more a superorganism than humans are.

If I don't have any of these symptoms do I just eat the tablets anyway? I feel like if intestinal parasites were endemic enough for routine intervention there would be more public awareness.

Why are so many of them just walking on the grass like that instead of the paved paths? Disgusting.

Typically at low levels of infestation, you wouldn't notice. You'd only notice if you had it really bad, but if you do you're living in an unhygienic shithole anyway, so you've got bigger problems. It's something you should do at least once a year anyway just as prevention, especially if you've got pets.

First of all, the topic summons faggots like >>722986459.
Secondly, for example: pharma merchants would rather send you to chemotherapy, radiate you and pump poison through your veins, than check and treat you for parasites. Most tumors are either caused by your body trying to trap parasites or by parasites trying to avoid your immune system. For a starter look into Echinococcosis. Most antiparasitics are dirt cheap and none come with a lifetime subscription. You have to basically fight pharma merchants to get them to even so much as consider parasitosis -- they are trained to ignore it, and trained to prescribe synthetic drugs (lacking the myriad secondary and teritary compounds that are antiparasitic, quintessentially every plant in existence produces its one or more antiparastic compound).

That's basically it. Virtually everything that's shilled to you lacks antiparasitic properties and is tailored to feed them instead (e.g.: sugars, hormones, heavy metal and other environmental poisons that surpress your immune system).
