australia doesn't really have an arts culture that supports game dev, most of our arts are indie theatres/movies/music
jobs that pay better, absurd office space rent, the undeniable FACT that any degree or diploma about game dev is a waste of fucking time, and high costs of hiring even wfh aussies mean australians will never have a booming games industry
