i followed it since teaser announcement, brought it when it actually existed in early access MANY years later, and... i've probably played like 5 hours and never touched it again.
i was legit more excited for that teaser than skate{4} being announced, because its was a truly skater's skate game without fucking EA, meaning no bullshit pandering like le funny jump off a building Skate3 shit. Just skateboarding.
but i guess it just shows the reality as much as we hate it. you can't make a good skate game without EA money. Session has had years and still just kinda looks like some default store assets in a map, has the most bum ass animations ever witnessed (kick push is goofy as hell and seriously all the no arms being involved in animation autism steez triggers the fuck out of me), and basically no features except a functional replay editor.
so i'm here suffering in EA x EA hell because Skate at the core just does gameplay and gamefeel best no matter how bad everything else gets
