Eothas was a villain through and through, first the proverbial ancient evil, old tyrannical leader of a nation where 20% of the population are literal slaves that required a team of heroes to sacrifice themselves to defeat him.
After his resurrection in the second game, he proceeds to smash the system that oversees the reincarnation, dooming the world to eventually succumb to entropy, for no other reason than that he grew to hate the other gods and wanted to spite them. In the final confrontation against him, if you do anything but sheepishly look away or praise him while he destroys the ancient engine of transmigration, he will unmake you with a thought.

After reading a lot of fantasy in the last few years, it's actually crazy how male authors cannot stop themeselves from inserting strong female characters in their books.
Whatever fantasy story you are reading you can be sure, there's going to be a female that is stronger and smarter than everyone else.
And the sad thing is they always end up using the same boring tropes:
either she was a lonely princess who learn stuff of her own or she was a poor orphan working as thief in the streets etc..

Nigga what the fuck are you actually talking about. The first book is the most boring ass shit in the trilogy, only serving as an introduction for the characters and the world. The entire book is hard carried by Glotka because the other four characters are boring as fuck in that one.
The second one is good but also has that long "journey" that only serves as loredump and is a slog to read. Glotka and West parts are great, tho.
The third book is the best of the trilogy by far. Every single PoV (except for Ferro who is a dogshit who is there just because Abercrombie felt the need to add a female PoV) is great and very entertaining to read. And the ending is epic

All the best fantasy writers of the late 20th century have been weird old white mormons with questionable fetishes, and now that the publishing industry is infested with activist women you know they aren't letting anyone with that description near.

Abercrombie is the kind of author who never plans the ending of a novel. In Best served cold the main character does a 180° twist in her motivations and personality on the last chapter just to fit the lore of the main series. He is always treating characters as putty, shaping them for new roles instead of respecting their development through the novel
