Also mining is in and is used for new gear crafting.

Again, you didn't play fighter in it's initial state to understand why those nerfs shouldn't be a thing, It's the mistaken assumption that because melee is the most used thing in an RPG, people think that it will always be viable, and when you nerf it it won't matter much, and that assumption is always made by people who don't play melee enough to really get the strengths and weaknesses of it. Another good example of this is PSO2 NGS, where everyone kept complaining about range not being "viable" so they overbuffed the fucked out of Ranger, and people kept complaining melee being braindead easy because they could just counter everything thrown at them, when in actually what was going on is that melee classes were literally ONLY ALLOWED TO COUNTER, because all the new bosses and enemies kept attacking so much with shit that would kill people before Melee players could even finished most of their attacks, the only way to stay alive and do damage was literally to abuse counters, everything else was unsafe.

I play mine with a decent ranged weapon (magitech gun or the latest grove wand right now), Flux Bolt, Crya, Prism, Ruin, Restora, and Imbue. Prism isn't very good but I like the idea of playing as a sturdy battlemage so I use it. I also play melee weapon + Flux Claw, Flux Spear, and the rest is the same. Flux Claw has the problem of being kinda clunky to use and making it so you can't really use your real weapon while spamming it, + a good svord outDPSes it without needing any mana. I would offer some feedback on steam but I'm banned until November.

I have 42 VIT with my 50 MND, my Magus Mystic has 300+ HP as well as a 100+ HP Prism protecting him, I can tank several whirlwinds from a warboar and still come back for seconds with a Flux Spear and Ruin at the ready. Given the fact that I also have a mid quality heal available to me, I can last almost as long as a Paladin in melee. Only shame is my melee skills aren't very good right now except for Ruin.

The new wand and the shield is just way better right now than Colossus Tone, yeah. Being able to backpedal while moving is huge now after he nerfed the bell's knockback. Previously you could just kinda stand there with the Colossus Tone holding LMB and things wouldn't reach you. Now they do, so being able to backpedal while shooting is a plus again, and the wand just does more damage holding LMB too.

You can get Mastery scrolls once you hit level 10 and start branching out from being a Novice into fighter/thief/mage and they greatly improve how you handle their respective weapons and adding new attacks like charge attacks.

Just dex, their skills scale with it, and bows/katars only care about that stat. If you ever transmute something with an agility stone, it will also only care about your dex stat.

i have now pretty much bis gear for fighter, mystic and bandit and i have to say that mystic feels the weakes of them all and for some reason the most boring too. fighter CAN feel a bit squishy at moments but thats me being extremely critical. and bow bandit seems the most versatile to me, all you do is run around and do normal attacks, drop spikes and volley shot every now and then and everything dies so fucking fast, he also has a very good heal option, its very fun just by how op it feels.
Im not really a fan of the slower weapons in this game tho, fighter feels more comfortable with shield/sword and mystic with wand/shield, same with bandit and bow > gun, i dont really use katars since theyre ugly.

what are you guys experiences? i cant really decide which one is my most favorite other than bandit feeling the smoothest to play, i dont see big balance issues

I haven't played fighter yet, played bandit before this update and loved it just like before, mystic as magus seems alright against bosses as you can nuke em quickly, but you need to do it quickly and you end up playing piano also cross is so aids it's the only skill in the game for which you need to actually hold the button

Which class are you playing? Both bandit and mage felt good for me, bandit is more risky, but more satisfying. Are you using heals? Buy health/stamina/mana potions and put them in your F1-F4 hotkeys. It's get pretty wild in grove, especially on hard with weird attacks enemies have.

Isn't the piggy fortress before (HM) grove? I ran it once and the drops are lvl req 20 or something. It's weird because the progression from Catacombs 3 into Grove was fine already. You didn't have to stop to grind in-between.
