Wouldn't this shit just be a lot better without scorestreaks or killstreaks and field upgrades or hero abilities? Those mechanics just lead to snowballing, overbearingly chaotic moments, destroy some point-based games and lead to a bloated perk/weapon/attachment roster for counters, all the while wasting development resources that could be better utilized elsewhere.

No one would want to play CoD without Killstreaks.

Good players love curb stomping lobbies with their killstreaks and bad players love the rush of finally getting the higher tier killstreaks. Is what it is.

On a slighty seperate note. The beta was really fucking fun. I didn't expect to like multiplayer as much as I did. Awesome to be able to play Zombies in a beta for the first time. Even on that tiny farm map, it was still a fucking blast. Can't wait to exclusively play Richtofen in both modes. Easter Egg rewards better be legacy skins for the OG characters. I still have all my CoD points from BO6's vault edition, plus the chunk I got from the first season, and the few I've been getting from these 2 last seasons, plus BO7 vault edition. I'm ready for them to sell me at least 1 version of the OG crew skins.

I think I know what you mean but as you say those are on the awful meatgrinder maps where you're all just basically playing Cookie Clicker to unlock the assload of items these games feature nowadays. It's not really substantial gameplay, what I'd prefer is a streak-free mode on the standard map pool.

I only played CoD because of the strong aim assist making it easy to play. Now that's gone, I won't be playing anymore. Thanks for asking.

The killstreaks by design reward people who are already doing well or lucked out but there are barebones playlists in some of the games and no one plays them.

I mean another approach would be that the team that sucks ass gets an uav, air strike or a chopper to help them out. Don't know if anything like that has been tried and what would the team which does well get.

It should just be the default mode desu, especially in old CoDs everyone just queues into base TDM and nothing else. It'll never happen though since this game is just a cynical as fuck product nowadays

It took them a while to give score streaks for objectives and yes even if you die, it would just take longer and the streaks were generally weaker iirc.
