There's currently a battle for the very existence of Total War: Warhammer 3 and Total War: 40K being fought between several influential streamers and content creators. On the side of Creative Assembly is Loremaster of Sotek and other lesser shills of CA, and on the side of the community is LegendofTotalWar and Volound.

Warhammer 3's latest DLC has been delayed for months, the main team is radio silence on 40K, and Warhammer 3 has several gamebreaking bugs that have been introduced in hotfixes.

CA released an untested patch that fucked up the game and still hadn't fixed it a month later, what possible reason would there be to defend them besides mindless bootlicking?

I can't imagine wanting a 40k Total War. I'm not trying to shit on the Fantasy TW games, that argument is dead and buried and never goes anywhere anyways, but like, how could you want MORE Total War after seeing CA fuck up the launch of 3 and somehow become even WORSE when it comes to DLC than they already were. Like, seeing people beg for a 40k TW feels like that "I want games to be made in less time that cost more and look worse" shitpost. Thats not even talking about how they put 3 on autopilot while they were working on that Fortnite clone or whatever it was. How anyone can still have faith in CA is fucking insane.

They really shouldn't be introducing major bugs in patches, I don't see how anyone can defend this. I'm not playing TWWH3 right now so I wasn't "hit" with this myself but imagine paying fuck knows how much for these games and DLC, then you go to actually play the fucking thing and find the game severely broken with AI not functioning because of recent patches. All the people who actually know what they're doing with total war no longer work at the studio. Warhammer 40k warfare doesn't really lend itself to the way battles are faught in Total War. I'm not on anyones side here, we should probably focus on some objective facts here.

With the state they left WH3 before moving on, their crown jewel of the trilogy of games mind you, why would you get excited for their next game? They are really banking on their next game's merit alone to completely disregard any reputational risks caused by the previous game. WH3 can potentially sell all those old DLCs too, and CA doesn't even care enough to spare resources to not let it crash and burn in front of new players.

Total War doesn't make sense for the 40K IP anyway. Dawn of War IV will be much better for 40K than any Total War game could have been.

They'll do Total War 30k instead, it fits the formula better, can include Primarchs for a huge popularity boosy, and will be far easier to do with most factions working off the same base.
