I need to setup IK and FK Snapping then I can start animating my character.
If, after this project, I keep doing 3D I'll have to buy that one rigging addon that does it all for you in the future, this shit is tedious and ass.

Should I forgo solo dev for now and try working in a team? How easy is it to get into a team indie project?
Anonymous No.723011238

>get into a team
Look for teams that just released their games. Search for games that are bad in whatever you're good at such as games with nice systems but awful graphics if you can draw/model or games with nice visuals that are buggy pieces of crap if you can code.
Just make sure you're ok with not receiving money for a while.

I think it's more likely that he's cute just to better appeal to the SOUL. Kris probably knows this and tries not to hold it against him, but it still freaks them out, hence why they seem more distant early on.

You need to hedge your bets, to at least get a part time job while you work on your game. You should NEVER be in a position as a solo/indie dev where you're burning through your savings while desperately working on a project hoping that it'll bring in income once its finished. I believe in you anon and it's not a far off dream, but it is a marathon.

I've been experimenting all day with local language models and their NPC interpretation capabilities.

I have to admit I'm amazed at the ability of a local model to interpret a character and the creativity that a model like Mistral displays.

I have a lot of ideas, but it's terribly slow and misinterprets intentions.

The lag is always going to be an interaction killer. Inworld used to have a pretty good game-focused solution for Unity where you'd type a character sheet for each NPC and it'd be good to go, but they seem to have pivoted to corporate stuff since.

There's still some examples: https://docs.inworld.ai/docs/node/templates/multimodal-companion#option-2-run-the-full-application-with-unity-client
