You're probably like me. You've played the game so many times, spent so much time looking for the secrets and playing around the levels, that you know every single corridor, trap, and enemy by heart. I also tried playing Sands of Time a couple years ago, and it didn't hold my interest anymore. As soon as I got back into the groove, I remembered the solution to literally every puzzle immediately, and very quickly I was simply going through motions.

Fatigue, too many numetal bands started popping up in late 1999/2000. Korn is the only actual numetal band of those 3, the rest were other edgier, or more rough sounding genres with different lyric structure and what not or bands that used to play numetal but switched up their sound.

The soundtrack for Metal Hellsinger had some melodeath talent and plenty of growling, but that's about it.
Even games that are really centered on metal like Brutal Legend or Guilty Gear don't have any extreme metal beyond some thrash, though they did pay plenty of tribute to more traditional metal.

Hell no. AssCreed2 was a flat-out improvement over the 1st game.
Also the real downfall was when they started to milk the series (as well as Tom Clancy stuff and FarCry) in general while neglecting their other IPs (PoP and Rayman), not helping to publish 3rd party stuff (like Dark Planet they published in the past) and shitting on IPs they acquired (Might and Magic being a most horrible victim to this after Heroes V and stuff like Clash of Heroes and Dark Messiah since starting from Heroes VI, HoMM went to shit very fast until Olden Era tried to rectify it).
