Did Valentia even have any flier-focused maps?
>12
Sure, I'd count it. The enemies are tucked much closer to eachother, and everything is very empty for a mid-game map.
>12x
The level shape is more unique than the big fields or temples you'd see in Gaiden. It's more like a crappy FE7 map.
>13
Too unique for Valentia. You can have actual strats or a battle plan here.
>13x
Nope, though it's ironically this weird inversion of Gaiden's first map, it's too varied to be one.
>14
No. Pirate raid maps were always one-sided in Gaiden
>14x
Fuck it, sure.
>15
No, the enemies are too spread out again. Tons of small skirmishes and working your way to objectives, than just statballing.
>15x
I don't really see it.
>16
I absolutely see it.
>16x
This is more like a GBA map. Linear castle that has side rooms to raid.
>17
See above.
>17x
I see it, but it's a defense map.
>18
No.
>18x
Yes.
>19
YES.
>20
No.
>20x
Yes, isn't this even a Gaiden map?
>21
No.
>21x
No.
>22
Yes.
>22x
It's like a bossfight version of Gaiden's indoor skeleton temple maps. But it has a gimmick to it, so I'll say no.
>23
Sure.
>23x
Yes, because the enemies all leave their cover onto the empty fields.
>24
No, because the opposite. Tons of cover play.
>25
Comparing it to Valentia's final map? I'd say no. Valentia is a linear spiral shape. All you do is surround Jedah, then wait for Alm to crit. 25 can be statballed, but there's tons of ways to do it. The only think leaning me to yes is the lack of terrain. But like, would you say the Sombron map in Engage is a "Gaiden map?" I don't think that's quite right.
