I liked the subversion but I would have liked if it was a lighthearted shonen for a bit longer. They basically only go on a single major devil hunting job and after that it jumps the shark with characters getting killed off left and right, it shows its hand a bit early

Series is kino but its way too weird to ever reach JJK/Demon Slayer levels of popularity. Kills off popular characters too often and doesnt focus enough on fights to keep zoomers attention.

I want to reread part 2 when its done. Ive read it weekly since it started and I fucking loved the beginning, I'd say the start of part 2 up to the karaoke chapter was some of the best shit Fujimoto's ever written, but it does feel like its fallen off in the latter half of it. Maybe marathoning it would smooth out a lot of the pacing issues though
