She would've been fine if her gameplay wasn't somehow painfully difficult and boring at the same time. Her jobbing during literally every fight in the story didn't help either. I liked her theme though.

Aside from both being horny and having British accents, not really. AP is played for laughs, and intended to make fun of silly stuff people thought was cool on the 60s (at least, what a certain subculture thought was cool). Bayonetta is just ernestly meant to be seen as cool, with the sex stuff being her style of bants. She's more a mix of Laura Croft and Dante.
