why would you want to play a giant ps5 commercial on pc? not to mention they'd have to make dualsense mandatory given how much it relies on its gimmicks

Is it odd to say that I love this game because it feels like a neat mix of mario and kirby but don’t really care about the playstation cameos

I'm wondering the same thing, Nicolas Doucet the game director was receptive to people's interest for a PC port, I don't know if they didn't meet their required metric for a greenlight. They would definitely make way more money than they did with Little Big Planet or other lukewarm Sony games that released on Steam.

Doubt the game relies on the controller to be fun, it's just extra flair on top of an already great game. Doubt PC users would miss much from the experience without the ps5 controller, though they won't get the FULL experience either.

As someone who has played it on PS5 I can confirm this. In fact, when I used to play on my PS5 before I sold it, I turned all adaptive trigger bullshit and such on the controller off because it all just felt like a cheap gimmick that damaged the controller. The controller stuff is not an integral part of the experience at all.
