It gets glazed to hell by retards that think this is an actual good game but when you look back at the franchise its just mid at best. Slightly above BF5 if anything. The map design is utter dogshit but that is to be expected since EA wants to cash in on the codtards and the studio mostly consist of the faggots that made 2042.

Firestorm itself is the best example that they have no fucking idea what the fuck they are doing when it comes to maps and do not understand their own product. They downsized the map so only the middle area is playable which was never what made Firestorm a great map. It was the two mountains on each teams side causing people to go and fuck with campers up there.

Their "All-Out Warfare" mode is a joke compared to any standard conquest match from 3 or 4 and especially compared to any Armored Kill maps from 3.

Its blant, its boring and the only reason to play it is if you're a graphic whore that needs that shiny new graphic.

That's not how tanks work though, they're glass cannons in real warfare and if you're trying to model that then the balance BF6 uses is pretty spot on.

If you're going to cry realism, then apply it to the soldiers too and severely limit their launcher ammo, lower their move speed when they have a launcher in their inventory, and don't let them reload from ammo crates.

US ATGM squads have one soldier carrying the launcher and his buddy carrying 1-2 shots.
Do you advocate having infantry spawn with zero ammo launchers, needing someone else to sacrifice inventory space to bring ammo they can't use into battle, nerfing movespeed to compensate for the increased inventory weight, and not allowing launchers to reload from ammo boxes since they're not bullets?

If you want the game to be realistic at the cost of game balance simply because a single explosive can disable/destroy a tank IRL, then it's shamefully hypocritical to not also apply the same realism to the soldier using the explosive and limit the logistics behind them actually carrying and using it.

it's fine. jumping really doesn't matter for anything except rounding a corner but you'd be better off sliding around it. mantling is fine, just too slow, they nerfed most of the shit because people were getting on rooftops and ruining how certain maps played during the beta (Cairo)

yea way too fucking slow. Beta was turbo fast and now that speed makes even more sense with the amount of guns in the game. But they probably have mastery slow so people don't get camos fast unironically. then the cash shop will come out when the BR launches.

maps are fine, they're made to be more infantry friendly since certain maps from V and all of 2042 left a bad taste in everyone's mouth. Everyone that wasn't a vehicle whore at least. It's also to appeal to the CoD crowd so they can hit their 100 million pipe dream most likely when they release the BR and make that f2p

they have class specific skills to incentivize picking weapon types on them. but I'd imagine most people wouldn't play recon anyway if you were locked to these snipers. they desperately need their attachments if you get into any type of duel. assault and recon blow dicks early. support is just every one man army's dream when assault should be that. engie is fine. I've just avoided playing open maps, and all you have to do is sneak one AT mine next to a tank and rocket the tank close to the mine to one shot it. Rockets are unreliable but I'm assuming the balancing is like that to stop people from just quick swapping a couple engies in one squad and instantly blowing up enemy armor from Africa. There's not much that can be done. I mean technically already you can just immediately have people swap and instantly destroy armor with 4 guys. If you buff that then vehicles can't play the game. If you make vehicles stronger then vehicles and infantry can't play the game either. it's just the nature of battlefield.

Its been ten, TEN, 10, years since BF2/3/4/BC.

And EA have created at absolutely best a bad clone of these games, while still introducing horrible skins, woke unrealistic gender inclusions and worse over all gameplay and maps.

TEN years. No new technology. No new mechanics. No new ideas. BF is godlike at 1 thing and 1 thing only which is its marketing. To convince people that what they want is a 'return' to form which is just reselling the same product over and over again.

Firestorm wasn't even good? The thing you highlighted was a real good reason to never want to be on the map because it was boring as fuck and littered with glints as far as the eye can see. You only had fun on that map if you played air vehicles especially with how broken they were back then. Or maybe if you were one of those worthless snipers trying to get your big 1km highlight reel. There are tons of old maps from 3 and 4 I'd take over fucking Firestorm.

They've also just added outright fantasy in order to "balance" the game. That sub class for engineer reduces repair by 50% for 10 seconds after you hit a vehicle with an RPG.

Like what the fuck is this? BC2 never needed stuff like this to have vehicles work and be balanced.

how would one person even take down two guys in a tank with a engi blowtorching it? that’d only be possible with a recon getting close and throwing c4 on it and even then there is a countermeasure to it. Most of time I’ve seen tanks have been them taking potshots from 100+ meters away or aggressive tanks running in and taking AT fire from 3+ engineers and dying instantly

Absolute trash maps beyond human comprehension. As if they made the maps subpar at best, tested them, realized they resembled battlefield too much, and then modified the maps so they became a conspicuously cluttered trash fires with moba-esque design where people are fi

Infantry sporadically balanced around the map design. Simultaneously having guns that are probably the strongest in the franchise but explosives that unanimously feel like you are trying to wave a fart in the enemy's direction.

Vehicles are fine but the maps make vehicles trash by proxy. Ironically they are actually balanced like a Battlefield game so the disparity from Battlefield vehicles AOE to bad-map-design infantry AOE is hilarious.

You know for a fact they are going to sell skins and shit. They are biding their time until they introduce it, all the mechanisms and peerpressure systems are there already in the endgame cinematics. They might even price stuff so mindbroken zoomers will look at a gun skin for $1 and think that EA is the best modern company for ONLY slipping 1 lubed finger into their ass.
