I'll level with you, I'm not that brave a guy, but the constant exposure kind of numbs you to it. The isolation is a real thing though and you get big into reading/trading shit with others - especially on the deep offshores.
But that can change in an instant, too, so you have to be on a constant state of wondering when or where S might HTF.

I'm currently playing F.E.A.R. 1, I just started Interval 7. What's so bad about the rest of the series? Is it gameplay or story related?

Speaking about gameplay, the game is pretty fun so far, I'm playing it on the second hardest difficulty and it has been overall manageable except for the fact that enemies have almost perfect accuracy and reaction, the last part of Interval 6 made me use almost all of my heals.

Not anymore, some jumpscares just surprise me at worst at this point, but it has made me enjoy horror games even more, especially games that really go above and beyond on environments and sound design. FAITH and Dead Space Remake have been some of my favorite horror games as of recently because of how genuinely scary they can get, and the sound design on those games is downright amazing. The apartment complex in FAITH is one of the best horror experiences I've had in a while.
