Replayed the first three games, they were all amazing.
Started SH4 tonight, spooky at first but the gameplay is just really bad? I had zero fun with it. Feels like the game doesn't even want you to kill enemies, just run, so why give me weapons at all? Not even talking about just the ghosts, the dogs and common enemies are the same shit, even with the dodge and charge attack

This is the only silent hill I ever played

It was certainly stressful not having the resources to deal with enemies.
When I got to the second half of the game where everything goes to shit I eventually stopped playing because it felt like my save was fucked.

It's a game people like because it has lots of interesting ideas. It's a potential-man type of game. Actually playing it is dog shit sadly.

It's not good. It's like some nigga showed up to the office with a list of the worst ideas ever.

The combat is rough until you get the axe. Then it's fun but only really because the heavy attack is incredibly satisfying. And you'll be killing everything with it without issues, except Ghosts and Kurt Cobain. It's a step down from 3.

As frustrating as the back half of the game is, the moment when you're informed that your apartment is no longer safe will always stick with me. I loved that apartment, mechanically, thematically.
