Sure, but IIRC the Saturn version doesn't have an entirely stable framerate either and the PSX version generally runs well enough, I remember it slowing down mainly when a lot of explosions are going on at the same time. Also Ezra had to go through a lot of trouble to make SlaveDriver on Saturn run as well as it did, PlayStation required much less effort to get there. There was another interview somewhere I can't find now where he said the only reason Saturn SlaveDriver ended up so good was that this was his first games industry job (might have even been first real programming job after school in general) so he cared a lot. (btw. I do prefer the Saturn version's larger maps and additional powerups though, also bomb jumping)
