Dokkan actually held up pretty well between year 3 and 7. The power creep was minimal and all they did was add new teams that more or less were all of the same level (ignore Namekians being forever a joke) but had their own niches they were best at, you just had more viable options to use which is what I call horizontal powercreep.
But then they got to a point where there were too many teams with too much overlap and less and less hype new characters to make, so they had to start doing number power creep again and it's actually insane how numbers that used to be super specific setups to get to are now just the average attack numbers turn 1. Made 99% of units unusable in new content. They increased the numbers so much in fact that we are starting to see units and enemies reach numbers too big for the game to calculate so they just roll down to 0 again.
It's over. You just need to make a new game at this point.
