no, i don't even play games with crafting and actively ignore them
stalker is not a survival game
resources are not finite
they're found every other crate
humanoids make up the majority of the enemies you fight, they all drop supplies
merchants with infinitely restocking supplies exist in multiple locations
you have access to quick saves and loads
you don't have to manage batteries or any other resource
you have a generous inventory to work with
you have power ups in the form of common collectibles scattered around the map
bleeding, radiation, hunger are quickly fixed and don't cause lasting damage
anomalies are mostly curios and not actually threatening especially once you acquire a decent suit
not even the hobo stage of stalker could qualify as survival horror as currently not having access to the ample supplies that exist in the world isn't survival, and it is neither horror, just atmospheric and being randomly startled by wandering mutants isn't really horror
no, wandering around in a dead city abandoned by its populace is not horror either
you even have an accurate world map that pings when threats are nearby
just because you feel unsettled in a few dark areas with creaky metal structures or because you installed epic hardcorez0r mods that make it so you have to wait 30 seconds between each medkit you consume doesn't mean the core game is survival horror
