Why doesn't Cecil whip up a batch of Viltrimutes using IVF? They're compatible with humans, atleast Nolan and Mark seem capable of integrating easily into human society and there's no risk of their genes being watered down (assuming they'd implant them into a human egg) because of how their genetics works, taking over. Continuous investing in moody heroes as the backup instead of weaponizing the tech they did have with teleporters.

The fact that he somehow miscalculates how feasible it actually is to hold him prisoner is the only part I agree with. Him wanting to hold him for info is justified because as far as he knows, there’s thousands of viltrumites out there ready to take conquest’s place if he fails. And considering that all it took was 1 to nearly bring the world to its knees, he NEEDS information on some kind of weakness because if they decide to send 2 or 3 at once it’s over.
