but because its several magnitudes larger than their other game systems, they have to dedicate a significant proportion to 40k which STILL isnt enough to keep up with demand, and they cant stop making products for every other game system, even if 40k is the one that keeps the lights on
so they need to build more factories, but those take years to do
and then because they're building more factories, the cities power grid cant keep up so that needs upgrading too which also takes years
GW could try to solve this problem by hiring 3rd party companies to make their models for them while they keep up demand but they wont

When a was a teen I was into wfb and rpg, it was somewhere aroundlate 90 early 2000 and it was what got me into fatasy and other rpg.
W40k was always less intresting for me, still ive read some lore and battled with borrowed armies.
GW was always about making money, its their core rule, even back then, but after 8ed and when they finally killed wfb for aos I just stopped caring about warhammer all togheter. All the other stuff which happend since then (games, 40k constant rule changes with deleting armies/codexes, lawsuits against fancreators, oldworld) just show in full how terrible they are.
Just last year Ive run into 40k midwit fan in my new work and when he learned that i know the setting lore, he fully unleaseh his autism. I hate all current warhammer fans, because you have to be largest cuck to buy into this shit. I kid you not, how in closet you really need to be to like and adhare to warhammer fanbase.

I think they have been ballooning for a long time, and at this moment I'd be wary they're overvalued.
If the Cavill show is a dud, GW is actually not looking very good.
They have never been less accessible, 3d printing is everywhere, competing games are either growing or found a foothold (Trench Crusade, Kings of War), and nobody buys their publications anymore, since White Dwarf has become flavorless and their books become obsolete after one week (and you can find everything online super easily).
WarhammerTV and Warhammer+ are also duds.

If their transition from a "miniatures company" or "games company" into an "intellectual property company" doesn't work, and it's a hard journey full of pitfalls and unknowns, their old business model is unsustainable and leaking everywhere.

2 or 3 years ago I would have told you "INVEST", now I'm not so sure.

They ran out of goodwill nearly two decades ago and only got worse after they torched Warhammer Fantasy instead of fixing it and even more so post 7th ED Warhammer 40K both lore, models and gameplay-wise.

The Old World was GW's reaction towards Total War Warhammer being a success so massive that GW cursed themselves for killing off WHFB because people were starting to get interested hard in the game...but couldn't buy Warhammer Fantasy stuff because it got torched and replaced with Age of Smegmar.

And for years they raised the prices of their games more and more. At this point I will wait until even their most devoted fans will drop them at one point because they will find out that they won't have enough for a living if this keeps up.
