What's the psychology behind a man dedicating their life to a shovelware game?
I feel as if I'm watching a man torching himself, running for the hills in ablaze, burning himself to cinders, all for a goal that even he knows, deep down, isn't all that worth it. There has to be something deeper to this behaviour.

It's just autism anon. Autism is "le funny cute quirk", it's a real pathology that ideally would be expunged, but there's still no good way to cure it yet.

The "live and let live" attitude to the point of decadence would fall on its ass if it was your own son partaking in pointless voyages at the cost of everyone around him. At some point something is gonna snap him out of it and your smartass platitudes won't mean a thing.
