Neverwinter Nights 1
Just finished the main campaign (the wailing death) and it felt like a tech demo, i'm now unsure if i should play the 2 main dlcs, are hordes of the underdark and shadows of the undrentide tech demo too?

>and it felt like a tech demo
Because that's effectively what it is, even if it does have some neat as hell moments.
The DLCs are the real game. They even start a new story with a new character.
Anonymous No.723073603
You got it wrong like anon said. DLC are the main juice.

TWD is literally that, just an example of what players could themselves make if they wanted. It was the big selling point of the game, alongside persistent worlds. Virtual DnD at its finest.

My condolences. You will never get those hours back

than why do people say it's better than the main module of nwn2 when it's clearly not?

I've literally never heard anyone say this. I've heard some say that the DLC modules are better than NWN2's OC, which I'd say is true. But then MotB blows everything out of the water.

I have no idea. NWN2's OC can be a bit boring but it's a competent single player experience.
I'll chalk it up to out of control hyperbole.
Even the wailing death isn't that unplayable.

I have, a lot.

I played and completed NWN but can't remember a thing about it.

I'd put it down to witless groupthink desu. Wailing Death's not exactly interesting, but for a simple rags to rapeforce progression it's quite enjoyable and you scale quickly enough you can test out various classes.

Both DLCs are vastly superior than main game, specially the second one. Go for it, you will have a pleasant surprise.

She's a traitor, not a whore. They framed and killed her husband, so she joined the dark side.

In the 2nd expansion pack you go to Hell and meet her there, she becomes a party member and a potential love interest. She stays a ghost the whole way through though, you don't magically resurrect her.

You can redeem her right? Turn her back into a Paladin from a Blackguard.

You can, yes. It ends terribly.

so the hero of neverwinter kills her canonically? or could end up being executed by nasher u guess

The OC campaign basically is that - it was included largely to advertise the Aurora toolset. The expansion campaigns are more robust.
Anonymous No.723077571 >>723079474
Just start with Hordes. You start at level 15, the story is good, and the only relevant thing about first expansion is the kobold.

Gonna hijack the thread to ask about the current state of Neverwinter Nights 2 EE.
Is it better than the original yet? Controller support aside.
Are there any new mods that make it worth migrating over?

Last I checked, it was bugged out the ass. Ended up refunding and just playing Complete Edition.

Which premium modules/community modules should I try? I played Tyrants of Moonsea and thought it was pretty good

Canonically, she was convinced to surrender by the Hero of Neverwinter, but was promptly executed by order of Lord Nasher Alagondar.

I see why Aielund and Swordflight are Peak nwn. Are there more modules like those? I like the CEP content a Lot, used to tamper with It in the toolset just for Fun 21 years Ago.

Also the Relic of the Reaper. But overall, Shaodws of Undrentide is a better low-to-high-level adventure than the OC.

Isn't that the one where you play as a chick that can get fucked by dogs and shit?
That's the kind of thing one of those fat tiktok broads that cream themselves over the minotaur milking book would enjoy.
Is there an equivalent for dudes?

Nasher turns out to be unwilling to pardon a traitor, and has Aribeth hanged. The bitter argument between the Hero and Lord Alagondar regarding the execution resulted in the Hero leaving Neverwinter in disgust, and Nasher having many of the Hero's contributions stricken from official record.

If you like more intro screen (around 10 more iirc) and more bugs you get the D&D NWN 2 EE instead the GOG complete edition
