If it's dying, then they can't save it, due to the game they designed. There's nothing wrong with the characters, story, the world, etc, and the only problem is the actual gameplay. Not the fighting, but the fact that you have to do battles OVER AND OVER AND OVER to get the gear you need. That is absolute shit content.
Fire Emblem Heroes (a much better game) has real content in the form of PVP. You're not fighting AI trash every single day, and you're competing against other players in meaningful combat.
I'm basically saying HSR can't be saved because the Chinese think gear grind is good content.

I liked the characters, story, and setting but that gameplay was just ass. Who the fuck enjoys just mashing Q and E and watching the same animations HUNDREDS of times in just one battle, over and over. Quite often gachas start off with bad stories but get better over time, HSR is the opposite, it had a great start, a cool boss, nice events and then proceeded to get worse and worse. Nonchina that sucked giant dicks, nonbroadway that looked promising but didn't deliver at all, nongreece that's boring as fuck. I kind of lost hope.

The thing is, that is normalized in almost all gacha these days. The likes of Blue Archive where there is no gear RNG are a rarity.
Relic grind is so common in gacha that most people don't mind it at all.

That's just nature of these games. Meta shifts, so characters who were super good at one point will not be great at one point anymore.
Though Star Rail has buffed past characters, and some endgame seasons do cater to older characters still.

Ruan Mei is primarily Break support, while Tribbie is more universal... Though she works best in teams with more than one DPS.

I feel like this list is kind of reductive, since plenty of characters still work perfectly fine with others. Hell, Aglaea wants Huohuo and Sunday, then final one can be Tribbie or Robin.
Tribbie and Hyacine being strong doesn't make other teams non-viable.
But yes, they are strong. But again, that is because they are new characters, this is nature of gacha. When Robin came out, she was insanely good in pretty much every team too.

You know the "Currency Wars" mode which was teased at the end of previous version Special Program? Apparently that is going to be similar weekly thing as Divergent Universe is, and by clearing it you'll get sweep tickets.
You apparently get 100 tickets a week, and one sweep takes 1 ticket. You still need to spend AP, obviously.
If you'll only spend them to farm relics, you'll use 42 tickets a week.
...Mind, take this with grain of salt. But it does seem plausible.

Right now we can put Tribbie in one team, and Robin in another. Hyacine in one team, and Gallagher in another.
Yes, this is not a concern in main story, or while doing weeklies. But multiple supports still have place in game.

WuWa may have over-simplified it quite a bit, but I really prefer the 100% 5-Star Echo (Relic) drop system to whatever week to month-long character building bullshit that HSR, and maybe Genshin, has going on. Although I haven't necessary overspent my upgrade mats, you get good main stats fairly frequently and awful sub stats aren't the end of the world. Just wish it wasn't such a pain in the ass in Star Rail and that it had something like Supply Packs to lighten the load.

Yeah, I'll admit that HSR probably has most restrictive farming out of the big three Hoyo games that I've played.
In Genshin you have five slots, and need four pieces for a set bonus, and you can use one off-piece.
In ZZZ you have six slots, and need four for a bonus. So you can run spread 4-piece set all over those, and have another 2-piece slot.
Meanwhile in HSR you have four relic slots, and two planar slots. So there's really no leeway there at all.
With some characters I got good pieces pretty quick, but my Tribbie and Castorice still have total rubbish Planars, and I haven't really gotten anything good for upcoming Danny despite farming since Evernight release.

They just need to let us swipe the farming stages. The earliest ones are almost done in 10 seconds by now, harder ones takes 1 minute. I haven't touched the weekly boss fight quite sometime now as most units i use are either maxed out or pointless to raise further due to the weekly simulated universe maxes out our units.
Also fucking maxing out the farming bar to dumb all of your energy in one go. Fucking retarded that i can only choose 6 fights or start per fight so it's just useless time consuming.

actually few of the newer gachas are implementing swipe system like Girls Frontline 2. I think Arknights gets it too next big update.
I haven't picked up that many new gachas but i feel like most of them implemented it too.

It's really cute there are events and stuffs to do for free in game (as in doesn't cost energy) but after done with farming i mean as in pressing the repeat button just so i could drain energy, i just don't feel like doing events
