I agree with the overall thrust of what you’re saying but when I played it didn’t seem like Arthur was constantly being some bleeding heart progressive. When I think about the game I think of Dutch, bank robberies, LENNY, Tahiti, getting clipped off my horse by a tree branch, IM SCARED SISTER, BLACK LUNG, and the epilogue where you play as John.
