what's the verdict on phantom X?

Not very good. The dungeons are simple and have the "mobile game stink", story isn't very good, all characters are fitted with shittons of passive effects so that they have artificial gacha-styled mechanical depth, UI is fucking pain in ass to navigate...
All the good stuff about the game is something that was originally from base Persona 5.

Despite having the best girl in persona's history, SEGA really screw up with the global release by adding P2W crap that wasn't in the CN release

I was just wondering why I never see a thread about p5x.
I think it's fine, being free to play I have managed to get every single unit except for yusuke. I feel like the game is overtuned for endgame challenges, although my leveling priority just might be messed up.

When global server was launched, there were loads of threads to the point that the subway slammer got so meme on

I feel like large part of the desire to finish persona games comes from having paid 50 dollars in the first place. they fucked up by making it free.

Bull fucking shit
Unless you got 50/50 work for you every single time(or playing on sea/china) there's simply not enough gems/cards to get everyone
I am missing 5 chars by now despite playing since day one and getting like 95% of available gems

Global release is shit, no 110 pulls pity, characters never get put in a normal pull
And that's besides drip fed content which is rather bad too(writing is BAD like persona 5 bad but even fucking worse) you get half a palace per month and it will only get worse with the catch-up
There's like two solid social links and rest is p3p femc route tier of meh

Contentwise, garbage.
Minigames for events have been some of the worst slogs to get through, and they all look like cheap plug n play games that go one for way to fucking long.
Events themselves have been as bare bones as possible. P5 collab was just reusing P5 maps but with 100x more button and wall switches splattered across to make you take even longer to run thru basic areas, with cutscenes that play out like bootleg Family Guy cutaways. "REMEMBA DA TYME WE DID DA THING?"
Beach event gave us a completely empty beach map with nothing to do. A carnival shooting minigame where you play 16 stages with no changes to the jpeg background or enemies. A ice serving game that plays at half speed and is no different than watching paint dry. A story where the characters are supposedly supposed to save the beach by doing things to attract people and motivate them, but dont do anything but the 2 "games" above.
It has been an incredibly boring experience

This "summer" event in the fucking september is so stupid
I get why they did that, global probably has less people than dx2 at this point and they need to milk whales dry with coomer doubles asap

because you weren't here when it released and got the usual fotm spam treatment. Now that it's 1 month of fame is done it's gone down the same path literally all gacha/live service shit does. Being forgotten by everyone except for the whales and /vg/ autists who are in too deep to quit.
