Honestly i dunno wht were they thinking designing such piece of garbage when going against some femoid reporter who goes with you in two missions, saves Clem's life, save's Lee life and promises to keep your secret.

The games were filled with situations where you do the sort of things Doug would be good at as opposed to actually shooting anything. To the point that the only reason you even know he can "hack TVs" was because THERE WAS AN ACTUAL SITUATION WHERE IT PROVED USEFUL.

I can't have sex with Dave. Don't worry. Carley gets her head blown off before something can really manifest with Lee though something was clearly in the works. But yeah that's what it comes down to. She's not only attractive but she's resourceful. She has a gun. Doug comes with a eating and discipline problem. Sure he can carry more but Carley requires less to keep going.

It's like suddenly he had a different writer. I was really let down by his decisionmaking but Bonnie placing all of that on a child and then guilt-tripping said 12 year old? No, she deserved to get her ass kicked. Hearing that they patched out a decision to shoot them dead is incredibly disheartening because virtually 90% of the playerbase would have taken the chance to do so. Arvo is a fool and you're aligning yourself with him and also robbing us just because? Yeah no II know exactly what Kenny would have done. He would have shot them just enough to disable them then under threat of death he'd tie them to poles or something and THEN shoot them dead. Then he and Clementine and Jane can sleep in peace in the cabin while they have live Walker sentries as deterrents. It could show that Kenny is either resourceful or losing his slippage of sanity and vengeful which could give Jane more ammunition for her play later on in the episode.

But yeah no Bonnie deserved death. I like how a lot of these characters are just average day-to-day people doing bad things. Bonnie is a drug addict and a home wrecker. She was more than willing to risk a child's life simply because she had a crush on a guy who was balls deep inside of Jane just a day ago.

Pretty much, I would've rather had the cabin group fleshed out, possibly have weather be more involved in the story and how it impacts zombies and survivors. Never have them be captured by the Carver group and just focus on evading and moving from camp to camp, potentially being forced to move in closer to a town for better supplies. Give us more episodes of knowing the characters before executing them.

Pete was based but I think he was always supposed to die early, he's purposely shown as the most level headed member of the group, the guy both Luke and Nick answer to but has an unexpected and quick death with a bite close to his "heel", even the most competent and level headed man can die unexpectedly. And once the most competent person bites the dust, then the rest of the group starts to fall in disarray.

the cabin group honestly feels like they all died at the 'correct' times in the story except for sarah, nick, and luke
iirc pete was always supposed to die at the end of s2e1, but instead alvin and luke were also supposed to be there with him, clementine, and nick
alvin's entire character building scene got cut, but him dying at the end of s2e2 feels appropriate
nick being determinant also 'feels' like it was always supposed to happen but based on how many unused lines he has for the old escape sequence in s2e3 he was supposed to have a bigger impact
carlos likewise always seems like he was intended to die at the end of s2e3, some of the unused lines re enforce this
no idea what the plan was with sarah, i guess her initial determinant death was planned but her second was just out of spite, whoever was in charge of the first two episodes seemed to want to do something with her that the e3 and e4 writers didn't get the memo for
rebecca was always supposed to die from childbirth, that feels 100% intentional from the start, only question is when it was originally supposed to happen
and of course, luke's death was hastily shoehorned in because the writers changed course in s2e3 and didn't know what to do with him in the finale

Yeah, they are interesting and had a dynamic going on, I like the idea of them individually not being fit for survival due their flaws and because the spend most of the time inside Carver's camp, making their story a tragedy but some members feel like they were written out before there's some sort of pay off to their initial setup. Giving more time would have helped, it doesn't that most didn't do much in EP 3 and are mostly dead by EP 4, characters like Mike are just unnecessary, even more when the original plan for said characters being one of the bandits that attacked Clem and Christa at the start was cut.
