It has potential, the titular room itself is a pretty neat idea. But you'd have to redo the game completely from scratch:
>fix the combat and enemy design
>add tank controls back in
>no inventory limit
>increase the puzzle difficulty (how do you go from SH3 to THIS?)
>completely redo the 2nd half of the game
