When you stay on the back and get items like drill which you may save and get a top5 if you catch up in the end.

The thing is, in this game due to drill, laser, truck(if you dont crush opponents to last longer) people can catch up around the start of the 3rd lap right on the portal. Then someone that was around 3rd place or so gets mario karted and goes to a 10th place in all that chaos and he is the one getting the fucking drill now lol

Going into the final lap while leading the pack makes me reach a level of hype rivaled by Kronos Island but for a different reason. The chaos really ramps up when everyone enters the mineshaft and its such a blast only to be dragged down by the wet fart that is The End. Seriously I would've fucking rather raced through a deep dark biome and dealt with the wardens shitty darkness effect over the dragon and the final leg of the race is the absolute worst even more dogshit than Apotos. That criticism aside they should've had variants of the track like Animal Crossing in MK8D where you start in different biomes. Also the nether could've been a longer portion. I get why they only focused on the nether fortress but eh, the track could've had a cut off into a bastion+soul sand valley.
