Played this 10 years ago and thought it was mid. Just finished another playthrough and it's a fucking masterpiece. I wonder why -10 year old me didn't appreciate it?

I actually bounced off Silent Hill 1 pretty hard. I didnt give it another try until 4 was almost out and 3 was really cheap. 3 really drew me in

i find the opening to SH1 rough and less fun than the other games in a way i find difficult to articulate. it's a good tutorial for you to explore and get a feel for how the game works, but the game doesn't really hit its stride until the school it feels like.

Or sometimes you grow to dislike things.

It's always good to replay things once in a while.
