A massive reason for why multiplayer games are ruined is too many people with autism. These freaks take the fun out of the game doing something that only they have fun with at the expense of everyone else.

Aim trainers are niche. The only reason I even bought kovaaks was to fix my tracking so I could track those speedy aliens in natural selection 2.
It worked but I still stopped playing that game after realizing there are blatant cheaters which admins do nothing about.
I also learned warming up your aim before a game is a real thing.
Using different sensitivities helps you long term.
Additionally muscle memory is a lie, aiming is completely brain related activity thus anything that benefits brain such as good diet, getting good sleep will benefit your aim and aim training process.

I don't get how this is so hard to understand. It's similar logic to musicians practicing scales for example. It's a routine exercise where you drill simplified versions of the skill, so that in a real setting you can focus on the wider picture while already being confident in your mouse movements. If someone has practices enough that he can flick 180* and lock on to a training bot in 0.001 seconds, then in a real game when he's getting shot from behind he'll have much better odds of flicking and hitting the real player behind him too than someone who hasn't trained that.
Obviously it doesn't replace actual game skill, just like playing scales all day won't magically make you good at playing music by itself. But it trains a specific skill in isolation. You can train gamesense and positioning in real games, but trying to shoot a player once ever 5-10 seconds and occasionally waiting for a 10 second respawn timer is going to improve your basic mouse control skills way slower than shooting 200 targets in 60 seconds over and over repeatedly.

The only actually gay part about this is taking training for a fucking video game this seriously. But this has always been the case, IMO people spending 1h/day drilling aim skills are not particularly more pathetic than people who spend 5h/day grinding basic resources in an MMO. Autists will hyper-fixate on the most useless shit and go all-in on it no matter how inconsequential. (And trannies are over-represented among autists, naturally. It's not that different to speedrunning for example.)

Well aiming IS 90% of the skill now since every kind of movement tech has been removed from modern fps (for good reason see the tantrum people threw about beta movement being too fast even though it was already slower than 3). I've seen clips of this and usually the argument is that aim training is a) imperfect and b) imparts zero skill relating to gamesense etc. In CS and Valorant especially for example, tactics are a huge part of the skill, you will learn nothing about where to push, what angles to hold, throwables/items (smokes grenades etc.), team comms and team tactics etc. etc. just through aim trainers.
And like the other anon said, details of hitboxes and hitreg are slightly different in each game. So at the highest levels, aim training doesn't help with getting perfect aim in a game.

But aim training CAN unironically be helpful at low levels, before diminishing returns start kicking in, and as a supplement to normal gameplay. If you have excellent tactics and are a genius at holding the perfect angles in CS, but whiff every shot whenever someone walks through and deal zero damage when you get the drop on someone from behind, that's no good either.

Players don't move like the funny balls but the funny balls move in lots of random ways and aim skills are supposed to be transferrable. The most a player can do is try to zigzag and dodge but aim training does include practice on balls that zigzag and dodge. You can practice and train your reaction times.

I do not get the outrage over someone cheating in a game with an anticheat as invasive as BF6.
If there's mutual respect between the devs and the players, then yes, cheaters are at fault. Don't abuse the game to ruin everyone else's fun.
But when the developer forces me to run a signed, unmodified microsoft good goy OS, with verified secure boot, with their kernel level rootkit having unrestricted access, basically giving up ownership over my entire PC, then it's entirely the developer's responsibility if anyone still cheats despite that, and nobody but the developer is to blame. The dev instituted a massive walled garden with draconian measures against all legit players, as such they assume full and direct responsibility for the playing conditions and any and all cheating going on. If for example someone is using some program to auto-aim, and it works in the game despite the extremely invasive measures the devs implemented, this effectively constitutes implicit permission from the devs for this auto-aim program given that they have full control over the PC and still allowed it to run.

Simple as. If you want to blame cheaters for being morally wrong or whatever then don't take 100% control over the system.

The main outrage is because people have noticed this shit for years and nothing has ever been done about it. From blatant hacks in "pro" CS tournaments to being force fed that there are these super amazing FPS GAWDS on Twitch to now this: A blatant case of some faggot cheating that once again has every subhuman, who sucks at video games saying "Git Gud". My point is that there's a difference between CS, secured by VAC or whatever valve's latest efforts are, which mostly respects the players, works cross-OS, doesn't require you to surrender your PC to microsoft and so on; and games like BF6 where you have to surrender control of your entire PC to big daddy.
In the former case cheaters are responsible for their own actions and there's a mutual understanding that the devs are doing their best, and the community has to help police them too. In the latter case big daddy controls everything so it's entirely his fault if someone still cheats on his watch
