I've had success running games on 11 that people on /v/ swear won't run on 10. The vast majority of 32-bit and above games run without much work (if any), and 8/16-bit stuff works in various emulators like ScummVM, PCem, and DOSBox Staging.

If you ever run into a program or device driver which you absolutely need but doesn't work on your old LTSC version you can actually upgrade to the next LTSC version without reformatting (you can also go from LTSC to the regular Enterprise or Pro version but you can't go back to LTSC).
