Why is every character in Genshin Impact in love with the traveler and not with Paimon?
The traveler is an asocial person who never talks or gives their opinion, it would make more sense for the characters to feel much closer to Paimon. And yet everyone flirts with the traveler. Why is that?

because it's a non-story made to be as offensive as possible to make as much money as possible. even children stories are deeper.
there are no relations other than friendship. there are no stakes. there is no politics. tevyat is as empty as it can get and the only thing mihoyo is capable of putting is some deep lore that has no real impact on anything.

there are no playable characters that dislike eachother, because that would impact sales.
there are no playable characters that are evil, because that would impact sales.
every "villain" is whitewashed or just specifically crafted for given major patch. most of the time we're fighting eldritch evil #33.

what even are relations between countries? seems like each one of them is a separate world, at most people from one country are aware of the other one existing, but that's about it. what sort of a baby-tier setting is that? i'm not even talking about actual deep politics, it just seems bizarre that all nations peacefully exist with eachother.
