I spent about 2 hours total making 4 B-Rank Umas through about seven runs.

I went 19-1 yesterday and 18-2 today, with three 5-0 sweeps each day.

Unless you're in Graded Group A and went at least 17-3 with at least one 5-0, I got more rewards than you. If you're in Group B, I almost guaranteed got more rewards than you.

And again, it only takes 1-2 runs to build an Uma that dominates the Open League.

If you get put in Group B, you're getting worse rewards for far, far, far more effort than it you'd queued Open. I've got friends who spent more than 50 runs building their Umas, they were proud of them, and they've been slaughtered by Whales and autists willing to high roll beyond reason.

Open League means

>No need to pray for aptitude inspirations
>No need for some extremely unlikely combination of skills
>No need to also somehow manage a pile of optional races in the career to have SP to buy them

I used a spreadsheet calculator someone else had created to make myself a build that fit within B-Rank limits, and I built 3 Umas in one night, then went 18-2 and 19-1 in the first round. I then did 2 more runs to get a marginally better build for one of my Umas and smashed the second round.

If you're not the kinda guy who can clear 5-0 Graded Group A, then save yourself the pain and the hassle and queue Open.

S Maru is very strong but also really hard to build. She needs Groundwork, but she doesn’t have any green skills. Before you had Suzuka and Falcon who already had a few greens in their kits, but S Maru has none, so you need good inspiration to trigger the greens + an S Medium or the hints to activate. Of course it does. However, there's two key differences.

Firstly, there's far less of them. I've acrua felt bad a few times when I look at my opponents and realise they didn't stand a chance against me. Probably more than half are completely unoptimised. Nice Nature is extremely powerful in Open League and I've run into about 4 through all my runs so far.

Secondly, more importantly, it's extremely easy for you to min max on the same level. Think about the amount of time and effort that goes into building the kind of ridiculous double S aptitudes, 1200 Speed, 1000 Power, 3 Ult, 12 skill Smart Falcon that's dominating everyone in graded. How many hours did you spend doing races to prepare?

Min-maxing for Open takes about 1-2 races. It's trivial.

A Rank Open win be pretty interesting. At A Rank you can get all kinds of skills, while at B you can really only get about 4 or 5 Max.

That's part of the appeal really, you don't need some crazy set of skill hints or parent inspirations, because you only have room for a handful of skills. I guess with the Stat caps being higher by then it might be a bit different though.

To be competitive in Graded requires the absolute most degenerate strategies, high rolling stats, and sparks and aptitudes.

That's upwards of hundreds of runs to get a single maxed out Uma.

If you're not doing that, then you're only making mental excuses for why it's fun to be Whale bait as you lose over and over again. Even in your B Group you're still not getting as good a rewards as someone who just turns up to Open League unless you can sweep it fully (but you can't and won't).

The only run I killed was for my Nice Nature because I didn't want her to have too many stats, so I could buy more skills. Every other one I did to completion, because you're not high rolling, you can use whatever skill cards make sense.
