This is the worst console of all time, the 3ds is garbage. Who the fuck pays $300 for this garbage in 2025?

This just proves the japs aren't smart, Nintendo is just arrogan, stupid and greedy just like the switch 2. They made great games with TERRIBLE hardware and acted like they were good for creating shit smeared gold. Gold being the games shit being the consoles.

If they had any sense they would've cut the 3ds line with the new 3ds, made all the new ones IPS with upgraded screens and send off the console with a regular new 2ds and 2ds xl with IPS. It came out over 7 years after the vita which had OLED btw. There's zero excuse why they couldn't upgrade the screens besides greed on the new 2ds.

I just can't believe people pay $300 for these trash consoles. My ally z1 extreme plays animal crossing at 1080p with a 4k texture pack and only has pop in when loading textures ONCE. No slowdown at all.
Also the paypiggie Normie's are going to be upset when they realize flash ROM degrades even over 10 years. Their collected games are worthless and dying.

Yes, people enjoy these systems primarily for the nostalgia. It's still a great lightweight jrpg/bing bing wahoo machine, and the two screen format mogs your overpriced horseshit. Build a PC lmao

I wouldn't pay $300 but I can find an IPS one for $180 and I'll buy it again if mine breaks. I was playing It earlier. I like the compact size, streetpass, and 3D.

Screen quality is 1000x more important than form factor. Its literally what you look at to play. Anyone that disagrees is coping hard.

Anyways the 3ds could've had this on the 2ds at the very minimum but Nintendo is greedy. All they would've had to do is put IPS top screen that's vibrant on all new 3ds and keep the old TN on the bottom.

Emulation is better than native 3DS with async and vulkan

It didn't have to be like this. The 2ds xl came out in 2017. There's no excuse why they couldn't put a brighter much better IPS in the top. Hell it would've been easier for the 2ds flat its literally one screen and a single PCB. I hate Nintendo, greedy stupid japs who think their shit doesn't smell.

Its screen sucks. Maybe I'll buy one in 5 years when there's a chink IPS drop in replacement. Gamecubes are under $100 after 24 years. I'll be fine. Eventually some chink in China will mass replicate OLED screens

3DS will never be an actual good console in my eyes like the vita unless it gets full IPS bright color accurate screen mods.

The 3DS failed at being a device that plays DS games in the same quality as they were on the original.

The vita on the other hand plays PSP games, has its own games, OLED and it accomplished its goal even if it didn't sell well. But this isn't about the vita, only an example.

Can't emulate anything, awful controls, terrible battery life, shit screens, library is mediocre at best. Literally only good to play blurry or tiny GBA.

the power button on mine got stuck but by the end of its time I was just using it to play GBA/DS Pokemon rom hacks. The openness/hackability and the SMTIV duology make it worth it
