If he was directly involved in the process of acquiring the leaks, yes. Otherwise no. Simply talking about what's in the leaks isn't a crime. Especially if he's in the US. In theory, and Nintendo is known for it, they could hit him or X with a DMCA or SLAPP suit, but how effective it would be depends on whether or not he or X knows it's a baseless bluff.

This leak genuinely makes Gamefreak more impressive. Pokemon (quite frankly no longer a joke) operates on an indie games level budget.

Now compare the indie slop on steam to Pokemon. Pokemon is much more polished and has way more content. They make low budget high profile if that makes sense.

Temtem and Palworld or whatever probably have a higher budget than the mainline Pokémon games. The results speak for themselves. Gamefreak did a lot with a little. Both low budget and low dev counts. It puts things in perspective.

The problem is that Temtem and Palworld were mainly just grifters thinking about profit its visible in their actions and behavior as business goes. Plus they don't have a clear vision at the start that they craft first and then work to completion. You can tell that by the way their games were build up from the ground up rather than through a set plan. That's the difference between efficient game design and lackluster game development.

No it doesn't. Their shit is blown out of the water by Falcom and Compile Heart games with even lower budgets than that.
You could give Game Freak unlimited budgets and nothing would change because the incentives they get from their customers wouldn't change and neither would their own dismal level of competence at developing games.
