more like it was the console nintendo produced their lower effort or more experimental titles on because developing on a 240p handheld console is really cheap. I actually wish nintendo still had a cheap handheld console line so they could fill the multi month long gaps between switch 2 game releases with more than dead air

I think Nintendo felt too big to fail after the success of the Wii. They just let their developers do whatever with their IP's hoping some gimmicks would stick.

3ds has good games, just terrible hardware.

Until they make a Chinese IPS full color replacement you only have emulation now.
