Clair Obscur Act 3
In your opinion, what is this person's IQ after reading this?
When they first return to camp in Act 3, she wonders if burned Alicia is Maelle's sister.
At the beginning of Act 3, after the cutscenes, we have enough information to understand who burned Alicia is. That shocked me.

Honestly, if you haven't figured out that burned Alicia and Maelle are both the same person around midway Act 2, I don't know what to tell you.
The game isn't exactly subtle about its twists, players just lack the context first time around.

>gamers are morons, more news at 11
This is the game where literally gives you an exposition dump in case you haven't figured it out already.
Maybe Kojima is right and we need our games explained to us several times in a row, just in time the first time didn't click.

It's obvious they are the same person from early on. Before act 3, however, I thought this was about time travel or something

I was hoping it won't be as hacky as this. But then they went with the "they are both different interpretations of the same person" which is way more clever than a fucking time travel.

Kojima has no right to present that argument in a disparaging manner. Japanese story telling is notorious for it's ambigiuity and non-sensical plot twists. The man himself is guilty of it with Big Boss suddenly being alive in MGS4 and then hand waving it with "nanomachines". Then there are series like Kingdom Hearts, Xenogears and whatever the fuck Chrono Cross was supposed to be. I'm sure some of you could give even more examples which would further prove my point. The point being that over the years writers have screwed around with plot-twists and ambiguity to the point where consumers need facts hard stated by narrators because they are phased out otherwise.

Its probably adhd or some processing disorder. Some people do not get engrossed in what moving pictures are trying to tell them about a story. They sometimes absorb it through reading it or completing a challenging task. Some people say elden ring is deep and high iq bc le read armor descriptions and listen to zanzibart. Or silksong, where you complete a difficult task and thats why its high iq. Iq is just a general term that doesnt point to any one thing, but young people like to use it bc every person in their life has a power level in one form or another.
