I would love to see another 4 heroes of light game and more bravely default. Also, a chocobo dungeon/chocobo tales game that borrows from slay the spire or other deck builders would be kind of cool. A new crystal chronicles game would also be fun as fuck. Basically, FF as a brand doesn't work anymore when they focus on main line titles, they just need to take the main brand elements and make a shitload of cheaper spin-off games like they did before, but now release them on PC and consoles instead of releasing them on handhelds.

Lets be honest: the PSP games weren't all that great either. AI either cheated like insane reflexes and input reading, or were dumb as dishwater, and the balance was all over the place in both releases. Dissidia NT was a piece of shit for streamlining interwoven with teamplay that ultimately didn't deliver thanks to its arcade origins, and this probably won't really be much to write home about either. These games are remembered more for their fanservice, series nods and references, and seeing the characters interact in cool, geeky or funny ways, than they are for the actual gameplay, because frankly Dissidia has always been pretty samey and repetitive, and it only got worse as time went along.

If they ever bothered to make proper games that people gave a shit about to deliver on the same premise, people would've migrated. But World of Final Fantasy turned folks away with the chibi stuff, Theatrhythm was a super niche appeal because music game, and all the gacha mobile shit crashed and died because they were barebones skinner boxes. This will probably be the same.

Though if I had a choice for an "out there" pick without any restrictions, I'd probably shoot for somebody from Live A Live.
