The problem is that this didn't result from capitalism, it resulted from governments trying to incentivize the creation of larger publishers by stapling a massive, long term bureaucratic burden onto publishing, industry and academia in the form of copyright, patents and trademark law. Larger publishers are easy for a government to regulate, though internationalized IP law creates publishers that can effectively only be regulated by globalist governments, not national governments.
