You can tell only the most merchant of game companies would even consider this necessary, and so can safely be ignored

So what happens if i don't "upgrade" to W11?
Steam will stop working for me? Games that i bought with my money will become unplayable?
Anonymous No.723255698 [Report]

>all these retards that think this will be limited to multiplayer games
Do you know how all those companies sell you boosts and items for single player games as DLC? Do you think they want you just using cheats to get those instead?

You'll no longer receive security updates.
If anyone out there has been sitting on a zero day for win10 this is when it would be deployed.

I literally only use 4channel and youtube for music.
I also stopped pirating since i don't want to mine bitcoins for random chinese, at worst i buy games on deep discounts on Steam. I think i'll be fine.

You don't need to interact with anything to be hit by a worm. Being online connected is enough.

If it requires kernel level anticheat and Secure Boot, I'm not buying your game. I don't play multiplayer in the first place, so why would I even give a company unrestricted access to my computer?

I was hit by the blaster worm back in the day. Couldn't figure out what was happening. Turns out I actually didn't do nothing and it was just bulldozing it's way across the internet. I couldn't do anything except watch my computer get restarted every 2 minutes. Full format and windows reinstall fixed it for a day until I got infected again.

I don't know why you people are so hell bent on denying the reality of worms.

>so why would I even give a company unrestricted access to my computer?
Because it doesn't affect you. You could email EA your credit card details right now and nobody would care. In the grand scheme of things, you're nobody, them having access to your shit is irrelevant. It's like having the ability to squish any one ant in your city. Sure you could do it at any point but is it worth your time and effort?
Now I'm not saying you should buy Call of Slopfield XXVIII but pretending that anyone gives a fuck about you on the internet is stupid.

a simple firewall would have stopped that worm on its tracks.

And what firewall are you using?

opnsense on a dedicated hardware firewall (dog bless the chinks for making open source hardware with 6x RJ45 ports)
