Why do games made by obsidian after new vegas have "no fun allowed" as the cornerstone of their design?

Who are the character designers making this shit? I can't even comprehend what any person here is supposed to be, supposed to do, or any elements of flavor or personality from any of them. I get that it's usually not extremely simple to just make a design that automatically tells an entire story, but it shouldn't be hard to at least make them look like a coherent unit with theoretical roles.

Games limiting themselves to only human looking characters was a mistake.

Multiple lenses per eye are fine. High end nvgs do that for better peripheral vision irl. However they're sitting too high and aimed outward weirdly.
