The way super name works is that it is a set phrase that has meaning beyond just "Super + [Name]". Super Sonic works because that's a thing in real life, i.e. Supersonic speed. Burning Blaze also kinda has a meaning, it works. But Super Shadow means nothing. I recall seeing a tweet some time ago when someone suggested "Quick Silver" instead of "Super Silver", because quicksilver is the old name of the metal mercury.

Anon, if Sonic Team wanted to imply that Shadow's appearance is based off that mural, they would have just done so right there in that specific journal entry. The fact that they specifically had him show up, see the outdoors altar, then decide to leave without any further exploration pretty much deconfirms that theory outright.
They did enough to explain why there was an altar built within the Ark's core, then shut the door on anything else. Think about it from a developers' standpoint.
