The manual doesn't actually have that, it's a joke based on the A-button challenge: a community of SM64 players trying to collect all the stars in as little A-presses as possible. It all became famous because of this video by Pannenkoek2012 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kpk2tdsPh0A
Last I checked, they were down to 13 A-presses, so every star in the game can be collected in a total of 13 presses of the A button. The button that makes Mario jump. It's pretty fascinating and autism filled. There is a documentary by Bismuth about it that is almost 6 hours long.

There’s some mods of this game you should try out
Cliffs of Spring - Short and sweet, fairly high difficulty with some puzzle-focused sections/levels, unique visual style (highly recommended)
Super Luigi Land Wii - Three worlds, playable Luigi and Wario, provides a challenge and experience greater than that of the original game
Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii - The og NSMBW mod from years ago, 120+ levels, it’s still unmatched in terms of having both scope and quality, despite any rough spots it may have
