The Riot MMO is gonna be SHIT
The Riot fanbase is only competitive players, they'll minmaxx whatever you give them day 1 and the devs will try and fail to deliver actual "competitive PvE" or whatever dumb stuff people will ask.
In my opinion, there needs to be actual MMO built around permadeath. WoW hardcore is fun, Deepwoken is fun if any zoomer here played that, it's a concept that deserves a real game.

Im just waiting on Maplestory Classic. It's the only thing left I want that is an MMO. TBC Classic maybe but I know I will get tired of that after 2 months

I just want a PVP mmo with large battles throughout the day that isnt some gay top down point and click shit like Albion. Runescape used to be fucking that but Jagex killed it. I tried Return of Reckoning but its extremely inconsistent whether you get into a coordinated warband or not.

Playing FFXI, started as WAR then found out about trust then became DRK and now I’m having a lot of fun just grinding mobs for levels while doing nation quest. Hopefully FF14 gets it shit together and hopefully the riot mmo is decent

been taking a break from EQ recently. Not been enjoying myself in this era because its so group heavy and my guild is awful for cliques. Maybe i shouldnt have picked Paladin and stuck with necro, so at least i can do heavy damage solo. Its still my favorite MMO but sometimes it has problems.

nta but there’s a chunk version out right now with gatcha for customization. story is schizophrenic garbage but so far the dungeons have been good enough to make you pay attention as a tank with mechanics that are decent. Leveling is weird as you get a majority from main story and side story quest but it’s probably this way so that people jumping in accelerate to max level instead of grinding, oh also if you jump in now you’ll be time gated so everyday there is something new for people who are keeping up, no idea if you can catch up tho

Except that's not true. First of all no good MMO's with adventure and exploration are even releasing. They all have GPS to the next objective, it takes two seconds to get there, or you just fast travel. People are basically using guides day 1. "Content creators" stay up late the day a game is released to put out a shitty guide for all the braindead zoomers to consoom. The games themselves are just single player games where you see other people walking around. You don't rely on other players for anything, and if you do, it's just a matchmaking experience that requires no communication and is over in 5 minutes. Don't delude yourself. That blue protocol slop isn't any different, it's basically Genshin Impact. Zoomers think these games are good because muh anime pussy and gooning.
