Me and my dad are exactly like this, I love to help him out with handiwork but he is the master of giving half instructions, especially when he just says "get the thing" without actually telling me what said "thing" is, love my dad.

I have schizophrenia and I often worry people do this to me. I'm pretty sure they do sometimes to make me more subservient. Like, they say I was an absolute menace when I have no recollection of being like that to them, so then I feel bad and need to try to make it up to them.
